How to use Google Flights to find cheap flights from Singapore

Set Singapore as the departure city, open the date grid for a whole month, and track the route. Check the other days in that month. A fare on a nearby date can be lower than the day you first typed.

Search from Singapore

On Google Flights, set the departure airport to Singapore (SIN). Run the search as a round trip and as a one-way. Two one-way tickets on different airlines can beat the round trip, so price both. Our cheap flights guide walks through the same idea.

Use the date grid

The calendar shows a price on each day. Look at the whole month. If the trip can move by a day or two, pick the lower day. The price graph on a route is a picture of how the fare has moved. The price that matters is the one on the booking page.

Explore when you have no city yet

The Explore map lists places you can fly from Singapore, with sample prices for the dates you set. Open a city from there and check its dates. When you want the fare we last checked, use the route list. Each city page has the checked date.

Track the routes you care about

Google Flights can email you when the price changes on a route you chose. Turn that on for each trip you are planning. It watches those routes.

Filters worth setting

Filter nonstop if a connection is not worth it to you. Filter the airlines you will fly. On a low-cost fare, add a bag in the search when Google shows that option, so the price is closer to what you will pay. Book on the airline's site when you can. Changes are simpler when the airline holds the ticket.

What Halfare adds

Google Flights tracks the routes you choose. Halfare emails a fare from Changi when it is 50% or more below the usual price for that route, checked the same day. Join the free early list. A 7-day free trial and S$79 a year follow.
