Head for the right terminal, take the MRT or a public bus, and add bags to the fare before you compare airlines. Changi has four terminals. Jewel is the landside complex connected to them.
Confirm the terminal on your booking or on changiairport.com on the day you fly. Airlines move. The comparison of budget airlines from Singapore has the same terminal notes.
Changi Airport MRT station (CG2) links to Terminals 2 and 3. Changi's directions: take the East West Line to Tanah Merah, then change for the airport, or take the Downtown Line to Expo and change. Public buses also serve the terminals. The route numbers are on Changi's getting-there page. Contactless bank cards and stored-value cards work on public transport in Singapore.
Allow extra time between the MRT and Terminal 1, Terminal 4 or Jewel, and follow the skytrain and shuttle signs in the airport.
If you are connecting and your bags are checked through, you can stay in the transit area. Changi's Free Singapore Tour is for transit passengers with a layover of 5.5 to 24 hours. You need the documents to enter Singapore, bags checked through to your onward flight, and a seat on the tour. Book it on Changi's tour page. The registration counters are in the transit area.
Changi lists early check-in, baggage storage and lounges on its website, with the current prices. Changi provides free Wi-Fi in the terminals. Jewel is on the land side if you want a walk. Some attractions there are paid, so check the sign before you join a queue.
